Associate Dentist
I graduated with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery and Bachelor of Science in Dentistry (First Class Honours) from the University of Adelaide. I enjoy all aspects of dentistry, with a particularly keen interest in oral surgery and endodontics. Making patients comfortable enough in the dental chair so that we can tackle any oral health issues, is a passion of mine that I believe is essential in dentistry. I highly value getting to know patients and making sure that I facilitate a solution for their chief concerns. Outside of the clinic, I love to spend time with my family and friends, as well as exploring all that Newcastle has to offer.

Frequently Asked Questions
Find quick answers to common questions about our dental services and oral care.
What is dental cleaning, and how often should I get one?
Dental cleaning is a professional procedure that removes tartar, stains and plaque from your teeth. We recommend getting a dental cleaning every six months to maintain optimal oral health and prevent gum disease.
What are dental implants, and how do they benefit me?
Dental implants are artificial tooth roots used to replace missing teeth. They offer a natural-looking, permanent solution, improving chewing ability, speech, and facial aesthetics. Implants can last for a very long time with proper care.
Can you explain the process of getting braces?
Braces are orthodontic appliances that correct misaligned teeth. First, we’ll assess your teeth, then attach the braces. Regular adjustments help shift teeth into proper alignment. Braces are a proven method for attaining a beautiful and aligned smile.
What are the advantages of choosing Invisalign over traditional braces?
Invisalign aligners are virtually invisible, removable, and more comfortable than metal braces. They allow for easy oral hygiene maintenance and offer a more aesthetically pleasing treatment option.
How does teeth whitening work, and is it safe for my teeth?
Teeth whitening involves removing stains and discolouration from teeth. We use safe and effective bleaching agents to brighten your smile without harming your teeth’s enamel.
What is a root canal, and why might I need one?
A root canal is a procedure to treat infected or damaged tooth pulp. It involves removing the infected tissue, cleaning the canal, and sealing it to prevent further infection. Root canals save a severely decayed or infected tooth from extraction.
What should I do if I experience a dental emergency?
In a dental emergency, contact us immediately. If you have a knocked-out tooth, try to place it back in the socket or keep it moist in milk while coming to our office. Quick action can save your tooth.
Can you explain the benefits of dental sealants for children?
Dental sealants are protective coatings applied to children’s teeth to prevent cavities. They fill in deep grooves and prevent bacteria and food particles from getting trapped, making them an effective way to safeguard your child’s oral health.
